Third Time's the Charm

So much for that promise to blog more. Sorry I lied to you, Online Yarn Store. You know what else I'm sorry about? I have knit the Big Bad Baby Blanket from Stitch 'N Bitch (good guess, readers!) twice before, and each time I have used a different yarn than is called for in the pattern. Mainly because I hate knitting with two strands of yarn held together, but also because knitting with two strands of Koigu together? While this would be wonderful, I'm pretty sure it would also be The Most Expensive Baby Blanket Known To Man. Anyway, I have always substituted a worsted weight yarn and recalculated the total amount of yarn I would need. And each time, I have underestimated that amount. By almost half. Because I'm that good at math.

Do you think I considered this bit of history when I ordered yarn for this Big Bad Baby Blanket? That's what I'm sorry about. Because now I'm waiting on yarn from Online Yarn Store again.

So last night, I made an addendum to my Stitch 'N Bitch:

Hopefully I'll learn this time.

Comments:
Don't beat yourself up. We all do that. lol When is this bundle of joy due???

Yarn is just tricksey like that. Even if the knitter is not bad at math. Trust me :)

Annotations are a good thing!

Glad to hear from you, and that you have not been "eaten by your stash".

Carry on! VBG!

I LOVE blue! I bet the blanket will be very comfy, lucky little guy.
