Zero Effect (4 stars)
The Machinist (4 stars)
Word Wars (3 stars)

I'm going to be offline for the next several days--big tests, working overtime, and mental breakdowns are on the schedule for the next couple weeks--so please, feel free to discuss movies (have y'all see any of these and if so, what did you think?) and to give me some recommendations to add to my ever-expanding Netflix queue. For the weeks after these when I get to breathe again.

P.S. I think I love Lost even more than fusion sandwiches. I would even give up fusion sandwiches if they would just release Season Two on DVD already!

Comments:
You MUST watch Six Feet Under. I know you were trying to get away from watching tv by, you know, not having one, and, yeah, it's a bit of a commitment. But, so was Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, and you totally made it through that book. Footnotes and all. C'mon. Great writing. Interesting characters. Examination of life through death. You know you want to!

Man, I'm sorry that you're going to be so swamped! If you get to a point where you really need to get away and have a break, gimme a call.

Okay. The other recommendations:

In the Mood for Love
2046
Cosi
The Imposters
Lolita
Rope
Mystery Train
Ghost Dog
Irma Vep
Rear Window
Following
Henry Fool
Eddie Izzard: Dress to Kill (or any of his stand up, really)
Junebug - if for no other reason than to see Amy Adams' performance. I just wanted to wrap her up & put her in my pocket.
Fog of War
Miller's Crossing
Dirty Pretty Things
Blue
White
Red
Spirited Away
Trick
Philadelphia Story

Well, in that case, lemme know if I can bring anything over?

Katie, I can't wait til you're through with school. And if *I* can't wait, I'm sure you are READY.

Thanks for the well wishes! Still plugging away at my studies this week, but I was able to sneak in a second viewing of Brokeback Mountain last night. Which was maybe not the best way to take a break, since it became a two hour cry fest! Whoops!

Nanda, I've only seen a few of those--Rear Window, Philadelphia Story, and Ghost Dog. I'm gonna add Junebug and move Red, White, and Blue up in my queue. Thanks for the other recommendations--gotta check them out.

Sometimes, when you have big tests and lots of overtime and mental breakdowns, it helps to look at little small clothespin people..

And for the love of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, please oh please add In the Mood for Love. Oh, and Six Feet Under. But, if not SFU, then definitely In the Mood for Love.
